POP
PERVERT
I’m moving.
Well... my blogging activities are moving.
Please, update your RSS feed darlings as we are going to The Present Tense. That’s my new blog. ;)
So many pseudonyms and different domains were making me dizzy lately so I’ve decided going back to the (new)basics.
anamontielblog.blogspot.com is my new daily home. I’ll be posting more as it’s going to be easier with Blogger than with this Rapidweaver application. :)
Wanted to THANK YOU for visiting pop-pervert all this time. I’m very happy with the feedback I’ve received, but now it’s time for new adventures!
Are you coming? See you there*

Happy news for a sunny morning :)
The album designs I made for my beloved Cineplexx are part of a huge retrospective show about Latin American record cover designs!
You can attend to the exhibition until October 25th on Casa América (Madrid). More than 450 record covers will take you through a visual selection of Ibero-American music history.
And below I paste three of my favourite cover designs of Latin American music records...
Juana Molina’s “Son” designed by Alejandro Ros
Almedra’s cover designed by Spinetta himself.
Caetano Veloso’s amazing “Araça Azul”

Szerelmesfilm (Lovefilm)
Yesterday saw this beautiful hungarian new wave film
from 1970. Directed by talented István Szabó (before
the Oscar Academy Award ;)
Loved the colours, the light, the rhythm... A good one indeed.

ps: the look of the main movie characters made me think a lot of two Belle and Sebastian’s widely known members...

Isabella Rossellini's GREEN PORNO
Oh Isabella... The icon, the temporary muse of
another of my personal heroes (Mr. David Lynch), one of
the most elegant and attractive activists on planet
earth...
Well. Cara Isabella lately has been acting, producing, writing and directing Green Porno, a short film series that you can watch on Sundance Channel.
On the films is explained in a very funny way the sexual life of animals.
The set design is mostly made of paper, everything looks fresh and D.I.Y.
Love it.

The other day took these pictures on Montjuic with my Diana camera.
Going back to analogic it’s kind of tricky sometimes... :P
Next time I’m going to try with those expired films they are selling on the Lomography Shop... let’s see how it unfolds.
ps: we are giving away free Metal Topo lithographs when you buy wallpaper rolls on Gallant Tales!! Sort of back to school promotion ;)

This Universe we live in is so full of wonder and
beauty!
Nasa knows it. That’s why they are all the time taking pictures of it. ;)
For years I’ve been totally captivated checking the Nasa archives and dreaming with all those starry images.
Just wanted to share it with you.
Buenos días a todos!

Jim O'rourke's melodic side
12/09/09 00:22 Filed in: music!
I'm glad that Jim O'Rourke's new record is a soft
one... The Visitor it's a beautiful album although I
must confess that I'm a little bit disappointed that is
an instrumental album. :(
Love to hear him singing along... Oh those Eureka and Insignificance days seem so far away!!!
On this link there’s a video to remember the sweet beginning of Eureka.
...and here is a recent interview on The New York Times.

My drawings on a group show this friday...

Months ago, Las Coleccionistas invited me
to participate in a group show they are curating.
Well, summer has passed so quickly that the
vernissage is this friday!
I’m showing 6 drawings that you saw on this very blog time ago, some Gradient Fishes, Faux Mineralis and a Meteorito. They’ll be for sale there and soon there will be more drawings and prints available on a new e-shop I’m working at the moment.
A lot of changes are coming this autumn, I’ll keep you posted. ;)
Must confess I’m particularly excited to share show with Nigel Peake. I love his work!
I’d love to meet you at 7PM this friday at La Sastreria (Bonavista 25) and toast together to new beginnings.
Joyeux rentrée*
^_^
