I’ve been enjoying a lot of free time this weekend,
having a picnic, watching Twin Peaks once more,
cooking and reading some new magazines and many other
things...
One of the mags I bought is Wallpaper*(october’s issue) on which Rei Kawakubo, Louise Bourgeois and Zaha Hadid appear as special guest editors!!!
On Wallpaper* I saw this tricot piece I totally love from Lutz & Patmos.
And did you see the Lutz & Patmos FW08 limited edition design created by Kirsten Dunst?

A night at the Opera!!
Tonight I’m attending a Great Italian Opera
Night at Palau de la Música Catalana
-a stunning concert hall modernista
designed by Domènech i Montaner between
1905-08-.
Arias, duets and recitatives special :D
I wish some of the tenors will sing “Una Furtiva Lagrima” from L’Elisir d’Amore (Donizetti) -here’s a link for the song singed by Best Tenor Ever: Enrico Caruso-

Futureme
22/09/08 23:14 Filed in: my projects
Just send via Futureme an e-mail to myself
to be received by me in 3 months time.
I’m with so many ideas for projects at the same time that my notebooks and Moleskine-agenda are full of them in no particular order -all messed up- and I’m getting a little paranoid thinking about forgeting/loosing some of them.
As I hope in Christmas time to be more relaxed I programmed this e-mail to be sent to me on that moment to refresh this projects for the new year...
Until now I was doing this kind of things in a more analogic way... letting messages for myself on the pockets of my winter coats and so...
Think I still like it more the analogic way though... but Futureme is a great idea however!
*I know this image has nothing to do with the post... but I found it through FFFOUND and I wanted to place it here :)
Love it!

Gloverall Dufflecoat
17/09/08 11:22 Filed in: fashion
Last winter I was crazy looking for a perfect
dufflecoat, the original ones, some beautiful warm
coat from a vintage store or so... and I didn’t find
THE COAT...
But this winter is different... Dover Street Market is here to bring us the original Gloverall Dufflecoats in an exquisite colour palette.
...a pity that they don’t have a thrift store price though ;)

Netdiver B-SIDES... part 1
15/09/08 23:25 Filed in: graphic
Yesterday finished my “TOP 10 Contemporary Pattern
Selection” for Netdiver’s 10 year
Anniversary.*
I’ve enjoyed every minute of doing it (and I discovered how much I love curating!) but the hard time comes with choosing just 10 designs among so many beautiful patterns being created everyday... so I thought about posting some “Netdiver Anniversary selection B-SIDES”...
*Soon Netdiver is revamping their whole site, adding new contents and special features to celebrate their 10 years of life as an international arts & design reference website, stay tune for more info. :)
SO LET’S BEGIN WITH A CONTEMPORARY PATTERN ALTERNATIVE SELECTION:
Artist Michael Lin creates fantastic gigantic floral patterns on Contemporary Art Spaces (I saw one of them at Palais de Tokyo for real and I couln’t stop taking pictures of it).
...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Albert Sjostam’s monochrome patterns are geometric and brilliant. Love them.
...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Thematical patterns by illustrator Hennie Haworth
...MORE TO COME SOON, promise!!!
have a great monday :)

...and today I need to talk about other of my must bands at the moment... in Pitchfork you can see a three part interview with Jay Reatard (totally love his music! -specially loud-)

Catchy tunes... Today "Chanson des Jumelles"
Two weeks ago I saw “Les demoiselles de
Rochefort” and I still can’t take out of my
mind the main song from the movie composed by le
grand Michel Legrand. Catchy tune,
great choreography and endless beauty by sisters
in real life Catherine Deneuve and Françoise
Dorléac.
See the video below, and if you haven’t seen the movie yet, run and go for it ;)
*also highly recommended “Les Parapluies de Cherbourg” directed by Jacques Demy too!

some of the shows/events, hope you enjoy it as much
as I do.

Here’s a clip I uploaded this morning to youtube with the end of the yesterday’s SS'09 Teresa Helbig show. 80's references with soft color palette. I personally liked the music selection... “Heard it through the gravepine” Marvin Gaye’s cover by The Raincoats is one of my favourite covers ever!!. “House of Jealous Lovers” by The Rapture is a non-stop hit too... ;)

080 Barcelona - Miriam Ocariz exhibition
Yesterday attended to a totally beautiful exhibition
for the launch of Barcelona Fashion Week “080 Fashion
Barcelona”. The venue was a stunning 15th century
palace on calle Montcada (the same street from
Picasso’s Museum in touristic Born neighbourhood)
that’s called Palau Dalmases. Miriam Ocariz
a really talented spanish designer who made an
exhibition about her creative process called
“From the idea to the runway”.
I loved the place, the installations and the dresses.
Vive la mode! Vive l’art!
*Some pictures I took below.
