J’adore Orchestre Poly-rythmo de Cotonou.
Their 70s afro-funk sound is so infectious! It comes from Benin, land of vodoun and congolese rumba.


PS: a recommended reading on Africa and vodoun is “Divine Horsemen: The Living Gods of Haiti” by Maya Deren, one of my favourite experimental filmmakers.

I’m loving Julian Gatto’s wonderful art installations. They feel so contemporary and organic...

I’m totally addicted to R. Stevie Moore’s music.
He’s a lo-fi legend, one of the D.I.Y music pioneers. Moore has been recording at home since 1976, when he self-released his first LP “Phonography”. A jewel.

Sometimes his sound reminds me of Syd Barret solo albums, some compositions are new wave, others more Beach-Boys-esque, but all share a really unique essence.

Lately I’ve been enjoying long walks around my neighbourhood -Poble Sec-.
My favourite walk is to get up to the Montjuic mountain to after lay in the grass near some ponds full of water lilies and tadpoles.
Soon I’ll select some places to eat and visit on Poble Sec in case you are visiting Barcelona for your vacations. ;)

Did you knew that Barcelona’s trees are full of pigeons and parrots? These three were so funny eating rice left on the sidewalk!
(In Spain is an antique tradition to throw grains of uncooked rice to the wedding couples when they get out of the church.)

I’m in love with this band! They have released a 7” called “Head Hunters”. Their sound has a strong Beat Happening aura, but darker and dirtier.
I’d love to see them live! Any promoter in Barcelona interested? They are from London and they are called Graffiti Island.

Love the way David Lynch speaks. He's one of my favourite human beings and I consider this is an awe-inspiring book.
Recommended for anyone wanting to scuba dive into the depths of true creativity and awareness.
